Noreen M. G. Walsh received her medical degree (MB, Bch, BAO) from the University College Cork, National University of Ireland. She took specialty training both in Internal Medicine at the Medical School of University College, Cork, Ireland, qualifying for a MRCP(I), and in Anatomical Pathology at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her subspecialty training was in Nephropathology and Dermatopathology at Victoria General Hospital and Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, qualifying her for a FRCPC and a FRCPath UK. Dr. Walsh is currently Head of Anatomical Pathology at the Capital District Health Authority and Dalhousie University in Halifax where she holds an academic appointment as Professor in the Department of Pathology. She has an international reputation in dermatopathology, has authored numerous papers on her original research in the field, and is in demand as an invited speaker on topics in diagnostic dermatopathology. She serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Dermatopathology, and Dermatopathology Practical and Conceptual.
