Dr. Kant received his AB degree in chemistry and biology from Princeton University, his PhD in biochemistry and his MD from the University of Chicago. He took his residency training in Laboratory Medicine and Fellowship training in Tumor Immunology at the University of Washington Medical School. He is a Professor of Pathology and Human Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh, and the Director of the Division of Molecular Diagnostics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has served as an expert consultant for the Hematopathology Section of the National Cancer Institute. He has published extensively on the topics of DNA and genetics and is Associate Editor of the journal Molecular Diagnosis.
