Donna MacMillan received her BS degree in Medical Technology from the University of Rhode Island. and her MBA degree in Healthcare Management from the Boston University School of Management. She is a certified medical technologist and a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA). Ms. MacMillan is the Director of Operations for the Department of Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and is responsible for the technical and financial performance of a full service, multi-specialty operation that includes over twenty-five separate laboratory sections, employing over 800 healthcare professionals, and offering over 700 different procedures and assays. Her responsibilities include (1) management of departmental resources and ensuring the delivery of the highest quality clinical laboratory services, including financial performance, quality assurance and improvement, strategic planning, ongoing operations, and the development of new tests and services; and (2) regulatory compliance.
